October Favorites

After a hot September, it's finally starting to feel like fall outside. And if the cool air and color-changing leaves aren't enough to get you in the mood here's a quick rundown of all things fall that I absolutely love. You'll find everything from decorating with pumpkins to themed cooking recipes, dressing in layers and drinking to stay warm!

(None of the following links are affiliate links, which means I'm not associated with these companies in any way and do not receive anything for recommending these products to you. They are simply my favs!)

Emmi's favorite things about fall-

Boots and scarves!  I love love love accessories, especially when it comes to accessories that won't make you look in the mirror and think -ugh I need a bigger size- Sure technically you might need a different size shoe, but that has nothing to do with your waist. The right accessories can take your look from boring to badass, and here are some of my top favs-

1.Narachic Women's Lace Up Boots

2. Faux Fur and Plaid Infinity Scarf

Handmade on Etsy- love it!!

Fall Drinks- I may be in the minority here but I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin spice. It just doesn't do it for me, but there are other fall drinks I look forward to every year! Let's start with the good stuff~

3. Two Roads Seasonal Roadsmary's Baby Beer

4. Butter Pecan Coffee Creamer-

I'm always looking for ways to cut out processed foods where I can, and I've found a great recipe for Butter Pecan Coffee Creamer from Check it out here!

 5. Decorating with Pumpkins-

I love the idea of no-cut pumpkin decor. I don't have kids, so it's not a matter of avoiding sharp objects.. It's just that pumpkins last a heck of a lot longer if you dont cut into them. I put my pumpkins out Oct 1 and leave them out until I decorate for Christmas, in DECEMBER. As long as I dont cut big gaping holes in the pumpkins they will last, and I'm all for not having stinking rotting pumpkins sitting around. I'm sending you to my Pinterest board for tons of decorating ideas!

6. Halloween themed cooking.

I am a total nerd when it comes to seasonally themed cooking and baking! I love browsing Pinterest for ideas and then going crazy in the kitchen. That favs list would be a post all on its own, so, for now, I'll leave you with my boyfriend's favorite- Mexican Stuffed Halloween Pumpkin Peppers I picked up this recipe from Frugal Coupon Living, and it's rad!

 7. Last but certainly not least, BLACK CATS-

I have 3 black cats, and let me just tell ya they are the freaking best cats I've ever had. All 3 of them have HUGE and different personalities, and they make life so much fun! So Happy Black Cat month to all my cat lovers out there!!

My Loves!

I would love to know what y'all enjoy most about Fall, so drop a comment below and tell me all about it!!
